Registration and Check Out: |
Help to register guests into the event and handle auction purchases at the end of the evening. * May need to attend two meetings before the event* |
Auction Displays |
Help to create visual displays for auction items prior to the event. |
Auction Set Up |
Help to arrange auction items, display tables, tablecloths, easels, and signage for the silent auction. |
Silent Auction Monitors |
Monitor a quadrant of the silent auction throughout the evening to be sure that items are bid on and notify the auctioneer if they are not. |
Live Auction Runners |
Help “run” live auction items from the display table to the front of the tent for the live auction and walk them through the crowd as they are announced. |
Parking Crew |
Help to manage parking for the event. Need to be onsite at 4:30pm. |
Kabob Makers |
Help skew seafood kabobs the day before the event (Friday, August 15th) at a home in Barnstable. |
Ice Pick Up |
Help pick up ice at different locations in town. If you have a large cooler, we would be thrilled to make use of it for the night! |
Flower Arrangements |
Create flower arrangements to be displayed at the event. |
Wine/Beer Passers |
Pass wine and beer throughout the evening. Collect empty glasses, used plates, and napkins throughout the evening. (4-6 volunteers) |
Food Passers |
Help to set up and break down the food tent, and pass hors d’oeuvres to guests throughout the evening. Help collect used plates, and napkins. (8-10 volunteers) |
Bartenders |
Help set up and break down the bar, and serve guests wine, beer and mixed drinks throughout the evening. (8-10 volunteers) |
Raw Bar Shuckers |
Help set up the raw bar, shuck clams and oysters for guests throughout the evening, and break it down at the end of the night. (8-10 volunteers) |
Clean-up Crew |
Help clean up, break down and pack up silent and live auction displays at the end of the event. (6-8 volunteers) |
Kabob Grillers |
Set up the kabobs in grill racks, get the charcoal burning and grill kabobs for the beginning of the evening. (4 volunteers) |
GFS Mailing |
Help stuff the GFS invitations at the BLT office at the end of June. (6-8 volunteers) |
Auction Item Transport |
Help transport auction items from the BLT office to the event site on Friday, August 15th. (2-3 volunteers with station wagons or trucks) |
We also need volunteers to contribute the following:
Red wine, white wine, liquor, cookies, brownies, and any other finger food desserts.
