In early 1995, Barnstable Land Trust decided to invest in the site of the old Cobb boathouse on Rendezvous Creek, with the help of neighboring homeowners. After an ongoing fight with the town to try and rebuild the aging boathouse, John and Sally Dale decided to instead sell it to BLT, forever preserving the land. The property consists of 3.75 acres of predominantly saltmarsh and abuts Massachusetts Audubon property .
