In late 1989, Barnstable Land Trust added a fifth property to its holdings. Edward and Ethelwynne Crosby approached BLT with an interest in preserving their land on Scudder Bay. Through the Land Acquisition Fund, BLT was able to purchase the land at a discounted price, and it remains untouched to this day.

The property is split between upland forest and wetland, providing a wide range of habitats in one single parcel.
